2. Locations in wet systems where the sprinkler and its connection may be exposed to unheated areas.
3. Locations where the fire system needs to be shut down seasonally and the pipe network must be drained to prevent freezing (e.g., tourist and resort buildings that are not in operation during the winter, and the fire system needs to drain the pipe network to prevent freezing).

 

Working Principle

When a dry sprinkler is in normal operation, there is a plug with an elastic sealing gasket at the inlet of the sprinkler connection, preventing water from entering the sprinkler connection. In case of a fire, the glass bulb bursts, the glass bulb and bulb seat detach, and the compressed spring in the sprinkler connection extends, pushing the water pipe and conduit towards the sprinkler. Simultaneously, it pulls down the sleeve connected to the plug, allowing the plug and spring gasket to move away from the inlet, allowing water to enter the sprinkler connection, and the sprinkler sprays water.
